Special terms — Painting services
These special terms supplement Stefcleaning’s general terms for painting services.
1. Remote quotation requests
Clients provide a clear description of the work and relevant supporting material (plans, dimensions and photographs). Stefcleaning decides whether the information is sufficient for a reliable remote quotation. If details are missing or an on-site assessment of the surfaces is needed, Stefcleaning may offer a technical visit. The client is free to accept or decline; a final quotation cannot be guaranteed without a necessary visit. Submitting a request does not constitute an order for painting work.
2. Free local visits and paid visits
A technical quotation visit is free for worksites in Corbais, Mont-Saint-Guibert, Hévillers, Nil-Saint-Vincent, Corroy-le-Grand and Blanmont, subject to verification of the exact site address. The exemption covers the preliminary visit only, not painting work or a colour study. Elsewhere, the price is based on round-trip driving distance and travel time from Stefcleaning’s departure point. The full VAT-inclusive price is displayed and accepted before payment. Address errors must be corrected and the price recalculated before ordering.
3. Payment and appointment
Outside the free area, the visit is paid for through Mollie before the appointment request is confirmed. Inside the free area, no visit payment is required. In both cases, clients cannot choose an appointment slot online: Stefcleaning contacts them to agree on a date. If Stefcleaning cannot perform a paid visit and rescheduling is not accepted, sums due are refunded in accordance with applicable law.
4. Optional colour study
Clients can express interest in a colour study with before-and-after visualisations without paying at this stage. The indicative price is €300 excluding VAT, to be confirmed by an offer specifying the number of rooms, generally around five alternatives per room within the agreed scope, deliverables and included revisions. No paid study begins without prior agreement on the full VAT-inclusive price. Visualisations are illustrative; final colours may differ.
5. Possible credit against painting work
If the client subsequently commissions painting work, fees already paid for the visit or colour study may be credited in full or in part against the works invoice only where the deduction and its amount are expressly stated in the accepted quotation for the works. Otherwise, the preliminary services remain separately payable.
6. Quotation and painting work
The quotation describes scope, surfaces, preparation, materials, protective measures, prices, VAT and estimated duration. Clients may request clarification before acceptance. Painting work begins only after agreement on the quotation and performance terms.
7. Cancellation, withdrawal and rescheduling
Cancellation or rescheduling requests should be communicated as soon as possible. For consumer contracts concluded at a distance or off-premises, the statutory right of withdrawal applies where provided by law, generally for 14 days after a service contract is concluded. If the consumer expressly asks for the visit or study to begin within this period, the legal implications of withdrawal are explained before consent; a proportionate payment for services already performed may be due where the law permits. Where a service has been fully performed with the legally required consent and acknowledgement, withdrawal rights may be lost. A model withdrawal form and an online withdrawal facility must be provided for applicable contracts. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
8. Personal data and documents
Contact details, plans, photos and site information are used to assess and follow up the request in accordance with the privacy policy. Clients should send only relevant documents.
